Issue/Introduction

Triggering the VSLR alerts and SNMP traps for third party monitoring tools.

Environment

VSLR All Versions.

Cause

Triggering alerts for third-party monitoring tools.

Resolution

Steps to stop the VLSR service.

1. Access the VSLR management console by going to https://<IP/FQDN of Site Recovery Manager Appliance >:5480

2. Login to the appliance.

3. Select services in the left hand side of the menu.

4. Select the srm-server service.

5. Then select STOP.

This will stop the srm-server service which will cause an alert to go out.

Alternate option: 

Power off the VSLR appliance, this will also cause an alert to be sent out as well.
