Issue/Introduction

Error : Error Opening folder! Error #6; FolderId=PRODUCTION VIEW; Location=dras|CAICCIA :DRASSVR:VIEW

Environment

Release: OUTDVW05500-11.5-Output Management-Web Viewer

Component:

CA DRAS, CA View, CA Dispatch, CA BUNDL, CA CCITCP, CAICCI PC, CA ENF

Cause

CA Output Management Web Viewer cannot access the repository designated in the error message.

There are a number of different causes why Web Viewer could not access the repository.

Resolution

For an Existing Folder that was previously working:

  • There may be mainframe issues with DRAS, ENF and/or CCITCP Started Tasks - Check if any of those tasks are unresponsive and recycle them if needed.  Recycling ENF will recycle CCITCP.
  • Check for a firewall
  • Run a DRAS discovery for the folder to reset the connection
  • If the DRAS you defined to the folder is now incorrect - no longer discoverable; specify another.

For a Newly Defined Folder:

  • Check for a firewall
  • Check the DRAScfg file specified in the DRAS JCL and look for the ACCESS Repository statement for what you are trying to discover to make sure your values are correct
  •  The agent code was not properly installed when the repository was installed.  You may also see ERROR 21 WHILE CONNECTING.  Get the DRAS task output.
  •  The new folder name contains a special character which is not allowed- Rename the new folder name without any special character and rerun the DRAS discovery.
  • Permissions on the scripts folder were not set correctly.  Adding all users with read, execute and list permissions may resolve this problem
  •  Users do not have access to the folder CA APPSW on the Web Viewer server. Give authority to 'Everyone'.
  • CCI0053 WSAECONNREFUSED during cci pc test; recycle CCITCP
  • Change the CCIPC config to point to the IP address instead of the IP Name
  • The CCI gateway is not set up correctly if needed to go across LPARS. Is the CCITCP you are pointing to from Web Viewer, associated with a CCITCPGW that has the CCITCP/DRAS you specified defined? Review the ENF proc to find out.
  •  <!--[endif]-->CCIPC install problem.  Installing the latest version helps. Recycle IIS after updating the CCI/PC config if Host Names changed.
