Unable to indent a task in PPM if it's a Milestone

Issue/Introduction

Unable to indent a task in PPM if it's a Milestone, receive error:

PRJ-07203: Invalid indent. A milestone cannot be turned into a summary task.

Steps to Reproduce:

    1. Create a new project in PPM

    2. Create two tasks in the project:

• Task1: Milestone task 
• Task2: Not a milestone

    3. Attempt to make Task1 a summary task:

• Go to the Gantt
• Click the check box next to Task2
• Click the Indent button

    4. Open the project in MSP

Expected Results: No error message is shown and the task is able to be indented to make it a summary task

Actual Results: Unable to indent the task, and receive error "PRJ-07203: Invalid indent. A milestone cannot be turned into a summary task."

Environment

Applies to all supported PAS environments.

Cause

This is due to current design of PPM

Resolution

This is working as designed. PPM does not allow summary tasks to be milestones. To request an enhancement to change this behavior, we encourage you to submit an idea from our Communities site.
