Error when adding some users with People picker to manage applications.

Issue/Introduction

Problem:

When using People Picker to add user to manage application, we are getting the following error message in the policy server traces :
    Message : [Message='No results left in the page for UserDir=XXXXX.'][][Return from call CSmUserMgmtApi::SearchUsers]
No user is returned during the Search.
It happens using CA Directory as User Store

Environment:

Sharepoing agent 12.52PS1
Policy Server 12.52SP1 on Windows 2008 r2
User Store CA Directory 12SP14

Resolution:

Disable the VLV Search in the Policy Server registry by adding the following:

New REG_DWORD (32 bit value) under :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Netegrity\SiteMinder\CurrentVersion\Ds\LDAPProvider
> Key Name : EnableVLV
> Value : 0

Restart the policy server.
