ITMS 8.7.3 Release (See Release Notes), the following enhancements were added to our Reports:
- Reports blade. You can access your reports (besides the traditional "Reports" menu in the SMP Console) directly from this added blade section. It visible when you are under the "Managed" or "Reports" menu

- Search box. Now you can search your available reports.
Favorites. Administrators can use Favorites folder and it can be used to save shortcuts to their most-used reports. Items remain in their original folders, preserving the existing folder structure. This new functionality is available by right-clicking on an existing report, and selecting Add to Favorites.

As well, if you no longer want one of those "favorite" reports to be accessible from the Favorites folder, you can remove it just by right-clicking on the desired report, and selecting Remove from Favorites.

- Hide Folders/Reports. You can now hide folders or individual reports to show or hide, to reduce the amount of clutter in the report view, hiding reports that are not used often.
You can accomplish this by right-clicking on the blank area on the left tree, right-click and select "Show/Hide Reports.

Another window will open and from it, you can select if you want to hide or show specific folder(s) or report(s).

Hiding a report will also hide it automatically from the "Favorites" folder if it was added to it.

Simple Report Builder.
This release includes a new simplified report builder, available from the right-click context menu in the report view.

- Base Report: If you select "Base Report", the "Create New Report" UI will be displayed and you can select the type of report that you want to create:
- Simple Report Builder: This new simple report prompts users for the filters and columns to use in a new report, and adds it to the report structure where the right-click was performed.
With the "Simple Report Builder", you can have access in a simpler way to all the tables and views available from our Symantec_CMDB database. You can see in real time how the results from the selected components starts populating your report.

Save the report after adding the desired parameters and columns and access the results from the newly created report.

Even if you use the new "Simple Report Builder" for creating a report, you can still access the traditional report builder options when you edit it.
