RPO violation error seen for replicated VMs in newly deployed VR environment

Issue/Introduction

Symptom:

• RPO Violation is seen for the VM after VM is added for replication.
  
  

Environment

VMware vSphere Replication 8.x

VMware vSphere Replication 9.x

Cause

• One vCenter can have 1 embedded VR appliance and 9 add-on appliances. If you have two embedded appliance then this issue will occur.

• Open VAMI webpage (https://<FQDN or IP of VR appliance>:5480) for embedded and addon appliance to validate the difference.

• Login webpage of Embedded and Add-On VR appliance is also different.

  Note: VAMI webpage for both the VR appliances open with VRMS login webpage in this case.

Resolution

• Remove all VMs from replications.
  
  
• Remove 1 embedded appliance from each vCenter.
  
  
• Reconfigure the remaining embedded appliance.
  
  
• Deploy addon appliance using the correct files which mentions Add-On inside the iso.
