Issue/Introduction

  • After upgrading to VMware Cloud Director Object Storage Extension 3.1, a new tenant activation fails from the Cloud Director(VCD) provider portal and from Object Storage Extension API.
  • Automatic tenant activation hangs for days and fails with the error:

HTTP 400 Bad Request\n - cvc-type.2: The type definition cannot be abstract for element TypedValue.","majorErrorCode":400,"minorErrorCode":"BAD_REQUEST","vendorSpecificErrorCode":null,"vCloudExtension"

Cause

This is a known issue affecting Object Storage Extension 3.1.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in Object Storage Extension 3.1.0.3 which is available to download from the products downloads.
