Issue/Introduction

We have a CloudSOC license that's expiring soon, and we wanted to clarify some issues according to the related Tech Doc

https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/symantec-security-software/information-security/symantec-cloudsoc/cloud/admin-home/cloudsoc-account-expiration-process.html

  1. After the license expires, are the services maintained for the following 30 days, or could they be stopped sooner? I clarify that our interest is to maintain them for the full 30 days.
  2. What happens to traffic processing if the CASB Gateway has expired?
  3. If the SWG expires, what happens to the traffic? For example, Office 365 traffic? Is the traffic blocked or does it continue normally?

Resolution

Per Gateway PM - CASB GW traffic flow, content inspection, will continue to function for 29 days after CASB Gateway license expiration.

Best Practices Tech Doc - CloudSWG (WSS) Administrator login may become disabled.

Per Gateway PM - The CASB Gatelet traffic still flows, DLP remediation functionality keeps working as it is now, for 29 days after CASB & WSS licenses expire.
