Issue/Introduction

Connecting to vSphere Replication VRMS Appliance Management (https://vsphere-replication:5480/configure) with root username throws

Permission to perform this operation was denied. 

Environment

vSphere Replication Appliance 8.x, 9.x

Cause

Since the introduction of the 'admin' user in 8.4, the 'root' user is nolonger permitted to login to the VAMI or ssh PuTTY session.

Resolution

• Use the 'admin' user created for the vSphere Replication Appliance.
