If add capacity drives to the disk group, do they need to be add equally?

When adding additional disks to a disk group or disk groups in vSAN do you need to add them equally across the cluster or can you add them to just a single host or disk group?

Adding additional capacity to a vSAN cluster 

Resolution

While vSAN can accommodate some levels of asymmetry, especially when new hardware is introduced, striving for uniformity is generally best practice for best performance and correct utilization for the space.
