NSX - Failed to in stall software on host. invalid host type or host not supported

Issue/Introduction

The environment is in the phase of upgrades, including vCenter/ESXi and NSX.  

1. ESXi hosts were upgraded from 7.x to 8.0U3

2. The NSX version remains at 3.2.x

 

The following error was received when preparing ESXi hosts in NSX.

Cause

According to the Broadcom Product Interoperability Matrix below,  ESXi 8.0U3 is not compatible with NSX 3.2.x

Resolution

Upgrade NSX from 3.2.x to 4.2.x first before upgrading vCenter and ESXi to 8.0U3
