I get Connection refused to AEFAD after starting Funnels and Daemons. What can I do to fix this?

Issue/Introduction

When starting the aefuf-Funnel and aefad-Daemons using a script, the aefuf-Funnel log reads "connection to dev01(2022) failed. connection refused".   Dev01 is the name of the Unix box and 2022 is the aefad-Daemon port.  Connecting to the aefad-Daemon via AEFC works OK.  All environment variables appear to be set correctly.

Recommendation is to first start the aefad-Daemon, setting sleep for 5 seconds when running from a script or simply waiting a few seconds if starting the aefad-Daemon manually, and then start the aefuf-Funnel.  If the aefuf-Funnel tries to connect to the aefad-Daemon before the aefad-Daemon has fully started, the aefuf-Funnel will get the reported error message.
