[2025-03-24 11:55:01,400] [WARNING] vcenter_helper:1070: Datastore Cloud.XX.XX.XX  in cluster CXXXXX  is not among the eligible storage types for a primary datastore - ['VSAN', 'NFS', 'FC']

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 5.x

Cause

A primary datastore must be shared across all hosts in a cluster and must be of one of the following types - VSAN, NFS or FC.

The error "primary datastore is null" occurs because there is no common datastore in the cluster.

Resolution

Adding such a datastore (VSAN, NFS or FC and connected to all hosts) to cluster should properly update the primary datastore and allow us to proceed forward.
