Alarm 'Identity Source LDAP Certificate is about to expire' not generated

Issue/Introduction

• Identity source has been configured with LDAPS.
• The certificate of identity source is near expired.
• The alarm 'Identity Source LDAP Certificate is about to expire' is not generated in vCenter Server.
• The 'Object type' of the alarm is Host other than vCenter Server.

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 7.x

Resolution

• To fix the issue, upgrade vCenter Server to 8.0 and later version.
• To workaround the issue, change the alarm object type in vCenter Server database. Suggest to contact Broadcom Support.
