Cannot Configure SMTP on Threat Analytics

Issue/Introduction

When trying to configure the SMTP settings in Threat Analytics, the following error occurs.

Error! Error configuring postfix to send mail. Please see logs for more information.

 

Additionally, the following error occurs when trying to send the test email.

Error! There was an error sending the Test Email. Please confirm that the settings are correct, and check the logs for more information.

Environment

Threat Analytics 2.3.0, 2.4.0, 2.4.1

Cause

The operating system was changed for the Threat Analytics 2.3.0 appliance, which caused an issue with the third-party SMTP application used by Threat Analytics.

Resolution

The issue has been fixed in the 2.4.2 Threat Analytics appliance, please download it from the PAM Solutions & Patches page and deploy the new appliance.

Additional Information

If a new Threat Analytics appliance cannot be deployed at this time, please open a support case and reference the KB article for assistance with the current Threat Analytics appliance.
