Issue/Introduction

  • When attempting to save a group with its respective filter, the system finds 53 devices, which is the expected number. However, after saving the configuration, we notice that one specific device is not kept in the group.

  • Additionally, when creating a new group from scratch using the exact same filter, 53 devices are initially saved correctly. However, after a while, the same device mentioned earlier is automatically removed, leaving a total of 52 devices in the group.

  • It is important to mention that this device is still present in the Inventory of the operator console.

  • The filter finds 53 devices, but after saving, the total shows 52.

  • We create a new group with the same filter, and initially, 53 devices are shown as expected.

  • After some time, the group shows only 52 devices again.

Resolution

1. If you are running DX UI 23.4 CU1 this is a known issue that is fixed in CU2 or later.

Please refer to: OC Group not updating its members in DX UIM 23.4.1

2. Also please make sure the correct version of nis_server is installed for your version of DX UIM, for example:

  • Running DX UIM 23.4.2 (CU2), the version of nis_server must be 23.4.2.
  • Running DX UIM 23.4.2 (CU3), the version of nis_server must be 23.4.3.

3. Perform the following steps:

  1. Deactivate nis_server
  2. Wait for the port and pid to clear
  3. Activate nis_server
  4. Test again
