Issue/Introduction

The VCF Operations console monitors the health and Identity provider configuration of VCF Identity broker which are registered.

Whenever a VCF instance or a vCenter instance gets registered in the VCF Operations, they get assigned to a collector in the VCF Operations which keeps monitoring the registered resource.

There is a situation when if a VCF endpoint and the Management Domain vCenter endpoint gets assigned to different collectors of the VCF Operations,VCF Operations is not able to collect the metrics from the VCF Identity Broker and hence no monitoring data gets populated in VCF Operations.

Environment

VCF Operations 9.0

Resolution

The resolution is to manually assign the VCF endpoint and the management domain vCenter endpoint into the same collector in the VCF Operations.

There are 2 ways to proceed :

1. Change the collector of the VCF account to match the management domain vCenter Collector

1. In VCF Operations navigate to the Administration section and click the Integration tab

2. Select the VCF account and in the Collector / Group field, select the appropriate collector which should be same as the management domain vCenter collector.

Note : You can find the collector of the Management Domain vCenter by going to the Domains tab in the VCF account and selecting the vCenter.

2. Change the collector of the Management Domain vCenter to match the VCF account Collector

1. Navigate to Administration section and click the integration tab

2. Select the VCF account and click Domains.

3. Select the Management Domain vCenter and select the collector which should be same as the VCF account collector.
