Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

The administrator is experiencing slowness in VM replication between the source site and target site, resulting in the inability to maintain the RPO for multiple VMs.

This issue has impacted production-planned DRs, and production VMs are no longer in sync between the two sites.

Replication remains in the same state for an extended period.

The issue began following recent ESXi host patching.

Environment

vSphere Live Recovery (all versions)

Cause

Host-level processes may have become unresponsive after patching, requiring a system reboot to restore normal functionality.

Resolution

Workaround to fix this issue, follow the steps below:

1) Migrate the VM to a different host. See the reference document for migration vSphere Virtual Machines Migration

2) Reboot the ESXi Host. See the reference document for ESXI reboot Reboot or Shut Down an ESXi Host

3) Move the VM back to the same host.
