Error "A specified parameter was not correct: spec.uplinkTeamingPolicy.uplinkPortOrder.activeUplinkPort" is received while importing VDS configuration.

Issue/Introduction

While Importing VDS configuration,we get the error "A specified parameter was not correct: spec.uplinkTeamingPolicy.uplinkPortOrder.activeUplinkPort The activeUplinkPortName value : dvUplink1 is not valid in the spec.uplinkTeamingPolicy.uplinkPortOrder.activeUplinkPort"

Environment

vCenter server 7.X

Cause

This issue occurs when there are incorrect values in the uplink teaming policy configuration. 

 

Resolution

1. In the vSphere Client Home page, click Networking and select the distributed switch.
2. On the Configure tab, expand Settings and select Properties.
3. Click Edit.
4. Click General to edit the vSphere Distributed Switch settings.

Validate the uplinks configuration, change/rename Uplink 1 to dvUplink1 and Uplink 2 to dvUplink2
