Resolution

.Net is not a prerequisite for the DLP 16.x agent as it is included in the DLP agent install download.
DLP 16.0.x uses .Net 6
DLP 16.1 uses .Net 8

Additional Information

One way to confirm the .Net version after the agent is installed:

1. On the workstation, navigate to  <DLP Agent Install Directory>\Endpoint Agent\ooxml\publish\mscorlib.dll 
2. Rick-click the .dll > Properties > Detail
3. The .Net version is listed
