VDI tool tip is not clear for applying L7 AppID rule on the VDI servers.

Issue/Introduction

It does not mention that the L7 AppID rule needs to be applied on the VDI server (HCS server). We need to ask customer to apply L7 rule for BLAST/CITIX AppIds.

Environment

Security Services Platform 5.0 (SSP 5.0)

Cause

Below static text does not mention that the L7 AppID rule needs to be applied on the VDI server (HCS server). Also since we are already suggesting a L7 rule to be applied, we recommend customers to apply BLAST/CITIX AppId's.

Resolution

In order for the customer to see the expected number of VDI servers in their environment, the customer needs to implement  L7 rule for the BLAST/CITIX AppId's. Once the L7 rule is in place the report will start showing up the VDI servers will be identified and the report will start showing VDI stats for the expected VDI servers.
