Issue/Introduction

Traps sent from System Edge sendtrap utility are not being processed in CA Spectrum

Environment

Platform Independant

Cause

Agent address of traps being sent have 0.0.0.0 or 127.0.0.1. Spectrum will ignore traps with these agents addresses.

Resolution

Use the “-f” parameter in the sendtrap utility command to specify the hostname or ip address used for the agent address.
