Approving Publisher to Specific Policies by Power User Saves as All Policies

Issue/Introduction

When approving a publisher as a power user to the polices assigned to that user, saving sets the approval to "All current and future policies"

Environment

• Carbon Black Application Control: 8.11.0 and below

Cause

EPCB-23091

Resolution

The recommended option is to disable the publisher abilities from the power user role and enable per policy publisher approval as an administrator.

1. Go to Settings > Login Accounts > User Roles
2. Edit the user role in question
3. Uncheck the "Manage Publisher Rules"
4. Save the change.
