EMC Recover Point VIBs Installed environment
This issue occurs when an EMC appliance VM is still present on the ESXi host where the VIB is being removed.
The EMC VM holds a lock on the VIBs, causing them to appear as "in use" or "busy".
To resolve this issue:
Migrate the EMC appliance VM to another ESXi host.
Attempt to remove the EMC VIBs again:
esxcli software vib remove --vibname=RP-Splitteresxcii software vib remove --vibname="emcjiraf"If this does not resolve the issue, consult the vendor documentation to unconfigure the VMs from the Recover Point and proceed to remove the VIB.
Refer Dell's documentation for more information on the Recover Point VIBs - RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines: How to uninstall and clean up a RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines system.
