The representation of CPU Time for some started tasks in SYSVIEW panel shows a presentation in hh:mm:ss but the Help (F1) on CPU time says value is in seconds.
SYSVIEW 17.0 - z/OS supported releases -
SYSVIEW is converting times to hh:mm:ss because the field is 8 characters wide, therefore displaying the time in a more human readable format also allows for much greater lengths of time to be displayed.
There is a way to convert this quickly in seconds, you can set the profile option:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
| FMTSECSLIMit | Specifies when elapsed time data displayed as seconds |
| | and milliseconds (ssss.mmm) switches to being displayed |
| | as hours, minutes, and seconds (hhxmmxss, x is the time |
| | separator character). Valid values are: |
| | |
| | MINUTE switches at 59.999 |
| | HOUR switches at 3599.999 |
| | NONE switches at 9999.999 |
| | |
| | The initial default value is MINUTE. |
| | |
| | Use the value DEFAULT to delete the value in your |
| | profile and revert back to the default value for |
| | the keyword. |
