Issue/Introduction

After enabling the NSX Management pack (MP)

  • Aria Operation cluster shows performance issues like high CPU when the adapter points to the in the analytics node.

Or

  • The/storage/db fills up quickly after enabling the NSX management pack to point to Cloud Proxy groups. As a result, data collection on this adapter may fail.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.X

Cause

NSX-T Management Pack can generate a huge number of distinct BGP Neighbor Instanced Metric metric keys,  these metrics lead to a few objects having very large FSDB data files, which appears to impact the performance of saving these metrics, it leads to other performance issues, like collections not completing normally.

Resolution

Disable the problematic metrics below  in the  active policy in Aria Operations

Go to configure-> Policies - Select Object Type

  • Router Service > Metrics > BGP Neighbor > Advertised Routes > Transport Nodes > Routes:

                AS Path

                Next Hop IP Address

  • Router Service > Metrics > BGP Neighbor > Advertised Routes > Transport Nodes:

                Advertised Route Count

  • Router Service > Metrics > BGP Neighbor > Service Router State:

                Connection state
