Sensors Fails to Check In With Expired Cert and Cert Verification Off

Issue/Introduction

• Steps have been followed in part "Getting Sensors Connected Again" of this document but sensors are still not checking in
• \var\log\cb\sensorservices\debug.log shows the following error 

  in check_not_none
  raise AssertionError(message)
  AssertionError: key can't be None

Environment

• Carbon Black EDR Server: 7.6.1 and Lower

Cause

There is an issue with some older server versions before 7.6.2 processing expired certificates

Resolution

Upgrade to a supported server version
