Issue/Introduction

The SDDC GUI is displaying a license error message across all tabs, stating that the instance is running workload domains on a software version supporting subscriptions but experiencing a license issue.

Environment

SDDC 5.1.1

Cause

Missing root certificates in the keystores disrupt the trust chain required for communication between components within the SDDC. This disruption likely prevents the SDDC from verifying the license status, resulting in the observed license error.

Resolution

1) Reset SDDC manager certificate

2) The VC root certificate is missing from Keystore, please follow below KB to fix it:

        Certificates for vCenters

            • sdp-vcf-m1-vc.philasd.net
                [FAIL]    Certificate Trust Check
                            Root Cert is missing from keystore "/etc/vmware/vcf/commonsvcs/trusted_certificates.store" and             "/etc/alternatives/jre
/lib/security/cacerts".
