Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

  • an Approval Policy has been configured to expire after 7 days
  • after 7 days the request has failed with error:
    Failed to process ebs event: SubscriberID: approval-service and SubscriptionID: approval-service-deployment-approval failed with the following error: No reply from blocking subscription Approval workflow(id=approval-service-deployment-approval) for event 12345678-1234-1234-1234-123456789012. Expire date 2025-01-01 01:00:00.00.
  • the same error can be seen in the email notification
