Shouldn't NetMaster automatically update MODSDIS and PANLDIS files?
NetMaster 12.2 and above with Automatic MODS and Panels update active
The automatic update occurs at startup, as you can read on the help panel of that Parameter Group ($NM VSAMUPDATE):
The check for maintenance is made during region start,once a day at 23.50 and when the parameter group is actioned.
but just after the check is complete. In fact, on the NetMaster LOG, after the SD4305I VSAM Check completed. 9 errors detected
message, you can see the following messages:IAVP0203I VSAM update processing for 9 elementsIAVP0201I Installing VSAM data member MOD@$$$ for LU12587:IAVP0204I VSAM update completed. 9 of 9 elements successful
which mean that the automatic update actually occurred.
You can open the NetMaster : Command Entry panel via CMD command and then issue the $$SYSPRO VSAM command to check if there is any MODSDIS or PANLDIS update missing. If none is missing, then you receive the following:
