Issue/Introduction

Symptoms :

• There is a need to shut down the vSAN stretched Cluster for planned maintenance power outage activity. 
• 2 + 1 vSAN stretched cluster shutdown.
• Regular vSAN cluster shutdown

Environment

VMware vSAN 7.0.x
VMware vSAN 8.0.x

Resolution

Please refer to the vSAN Cluster shutdown procedure mentioned in the following Broadcom Techdocs. 

• Shut Down the vSAN Cluster Using the Shutdown Cluster Wizard
• Restart the vSAN Cluster

If needed, you can also use the command line vSAN Cluster shutdown method using the following Broadcom Techdocs.

• Manually Shut Down and Restart the vSAN Cluster
