After setting up a load balancer in front of the Portal, we receive a 500 server error

Issue/Introduction

The following error is seen in the PCService.log

org.springframework.web.client.ResourceAccessException: I/O error on GET request for "https://<vanity hostname>:8482/dm/rib/version": Circular redirect to 'https://<vanity hostname>:8382/sso/sign-in.jsp?SsoProductCode=pc&SsoRedirectUrl=https%3A%2F%2F<vanity hostname>%2Fpc%2Fredirector'

 

Cause

The internal application references should NOT go to the load balancer and need to remain internal

Resolution

Ensure the following entries are NOT the vanity hostname, but the direct system hostname/ip so long as it is in the HTTPS certificate's Subject Alternative Name (SAN):

1. /opt/CA/PerformanceCenter/EM/webapps/EventManager/WEB-INF/em.properties

2. /opt/CA/PerformanceCenter/PC/webapps/pc/WEB-INF/cfg/portal.console.properties

3. /opt/CA/PerformanceCenter/DM/webapps/dm/WEB-INF/dm.properties

4. /opt/CA/PerformanceCenter/SsoConfig > 1 > 3 > 1 > 2 - Web Service Host
