Getting error "invalid credentials" when logging in with OKTA credentials.

Issue/Introduction
When testing out Open LDAPS authentication on vCenter with my OKTA credentials, I am getting the error "invalid credentials" although my credentials are correct.
Environment
A vCenter server configured to use OKTA for authentication.
Cause
The current version of vCenter is not supported.
Resolution
Upgrade vCenter to version 8.0 Update 1 or later. For reference, please see the following articles.
