Issue/Introduction

  • Manual reservation is created as per steps in the documentation.
  • As per Step 13 in the documentation, a date is selected which is the current date.
  • In the dialog box, the error below is then displayed.
The expiration date must not be in the past.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6.x

Cause

This is an issue in the product.

  • The feature requires a minimum of 1 day is required for the reservation.
  • Reservations for the day ends at 00:00 AM(start of a day) of the date selected.
  • Selecting the current date picks the expiry time to 00:00 AM of the date selected which is then in the past.

Resolution

Engineering is fixing the issue in a future release of VMware Cloud Director version.
