Issue/Introduction

• When creating a VM with vAPP template or ISO, the operation cannot proceed with error message "You need to select either sizing or placement compute policy."

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.x

Cause

This issue was caused by defected user's role setting.

Resolution

• Create another new tenant role in the organization with all options:
  
  Create a Custom Tenant Role Using Your VMware Cloud Director Tenant Portal
  
  
• Update user's role to the role created in the previous step. Following:
  
  Modify a User in Your VMware Cloud Director Tenant Portal
  
  
• If the issue cannot be resolved after assigning the new role to user, please contact Broadcom VCF support for further support.
