Resolution

  • Following article describes all step for installation of a new Domain Manager with a remote mdb :
What are the steps for installing the CA Client Automation Domain Manager with a remote SQL Server Database?

  • If mdb will be installed on a remote server, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) version 17.9.1 or older version should be installed on Domain Manager. New versions of SSMS (18.0 or higher) do not include the tools like osql.exe and sqlcmd.exe needed for Domain Manager Client Automation installation.

See this article for more information : Install Domain Manager - no Microsoft SQL Client Tools installed

Installation should be made with a logged user which has sysadmin rights on SQL Server.

  • If Web Console and Web Services must be installed, Add the server Role "Web Server IIS" with component ISAPI Extensions and ISAPI Filters on the Domain Manager before installation :

  • In case of failure during installation, following logs could be checked :

    %TEMP%\DSM*.log
    %TEMP%\TRC_*.log
    %TEMP%\ITRM\database\setup.log
    %TEMP%\ITRM\database\mdb_install\install_mdb.log
