Issue/Introduction

  • HCX Manager was unreachable and unresponsive on the vCenter.
  • The HCX Manager VM is unresponsive, requiring a hard reboot to bring the appliance back. 
  • HCX Manager /vmfs/volumes/<HCX Manager VM>/vmware.log shows a Kernel Panic

Cause

The virtual machine failure resulted from suspected memory corruption. 

Resolution

This is a condition that may occur in a VMware HCX environment.
