Issue/Introduction

Spectrum Data Source sync failure frequently in UAT environment. 

A processing failure occurred on the data source during synchronization.

n the /opt/CA/PerformanceCenter/DM/logs/DMService.log file:

CAPC encountered an error while trying to sync with data source Spectrum Infrastructure Manager@<OneClick_host>.  The problem is in CAPC, not the data source.  The following stack trace shows the invalid SQL statement in CAPC:
org.springframework.dao.DataIntegrityViolationException: PreparedStatementCallback; SQL [INSERT INTO ds_items (SourceID, UpdatedOn, `ItemTypeName`, `ItemSubTypeName`, `LocalID`, `ItemFlags`) VALUES (3,1742462579,'group','automatic','{DATASOURCE_ROOT}',8),

Caused by: com.mysql.cj.jdbc.exceptions.MysqlDataTruncation: Data truncation: Data too long for column 'LocalID' at row 58

Environment

PM and Spectrum version 23.3.6

Cause

Invalid value in the UniqueKey (0x12e56) attribute ID of some Global Collections in Spectrum

 

Resolution

Deleted and recreated the problematic Global Collections in Spectrum.
