PT121E User is Not Authorized to EXECUTE OFS Plan along with error OFS0001E during RC/Migrator analysis

Issue/Introduction

 A RC/Migrator for Db2 for z/OS (RCM) DDL only in place Migration strategy was analyzed to create backup DDL for a Db2 SSID.  

The following message appears in the output:

  OFS0001E - PTMBDB Return Code: 8 Reason: 15925300

  PT121E    USER <userid> IS NOT AUTHORIZED TO EXECUTE PLAN: OFSAxxxx

  OFS0001E - open PTMBDBD OPEN failed.

Resolution

In January 2024 the following PTF's were introduced for Advanced Trigger support which included parsing being done by OFS (Object Framework Services).

OFS is a services layer that is used to perform Db2 system catalog access by the following products and the Alternate Catalog Mapping (ACM) component:

• RC/Extract
• RC/Migrator
• RC/Query

Ensure users have EXECUTE authority on the OFS plan as defined in the hlq.CDBAPARM member PLANSxx OFSPLN01= plan name.
