On Modern UX Resource does not get auto highlighted on the Staffing Workspace

Issue/Introduction

The Allocations by Investment tab on the Staffing workspace has the Resource Availability section. The resources on the Resource Availability section are displayed page wise. When a project's staff is selected under Allocations by Investment, if that selected resource is not present on the Resource Availability's first page segment, then that resource does not get auto-highlighed and the previous selected resource is visible under Resource Availability section

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. On Modern UX navigate to Staffing workspace and select the tab: Allocations by Investment
2. Select a project in the top pane
3. Expand the project and select a resource on the project

 

Expected Results :-

The selected resource is automatically highlighted on the bottom pane: Resource Availability

Actual Results :-

If the selected resource is not on the first page segment of Resource Availability, then it is not auto-highlighted and the previously selected Resource remains as highlighted

Resolution

This issue has been reviewed by the Engineering Team and was deemed not to be a defect and is working as per design.

Since Clarity version 16.2.2, Pagination was introduced and if the resource is not in the current 'page' the resource row in the histogram panel is not visible and it will not get selected when the user selects a row on the top timeline panel. 

Therefore the expected result is when the resource is listed (visible) in the 'page' on the Resource Histogram panel, when the user clicks on an allocation/assignments row in the top timeline panel, the available matching Resource row will get selected.
