MUX Timesheet Effort Gauge and Totals incorrect when the resource calendar shifts differ from base calendar
To make calculations easier, the scenario below considers a standard Calendar of 8 hours shifts a day and the Resource calendar contains 4 hours a day shifts
Steps to Reproduce
- Administration > Project Management > Timesheet Options > Default Time Entry Options > Display Units > Days
- Administration > Project Management > Base Calendars
- Ensure the Standard calendar is marked as Standard
- Edit Calendar Exceptions > Ensure the Monday to Friday shifts are 8 hours a day
- Create a Resource in Home > Resource Management > Resources
- Enable the resource for timesheets: Open for Time Entry ticked and Track Mode PPM
- Go to the Resource Calendar tab
- Tick the daily checkboxes: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu and Fri and click on Set Shifts
- Delete shift 2 and leave just an 8 am to 12 pm shift (total of 4 hours availability)
- Create a project, add the Resource above to the Staff tab and assign him to a task
- Go to MUX > Timesheets and edit a timesheet for him
- Add tasks > Add Assigned Tasks > The task we assigned to the resource is added
- Enter 1 day per daily cell and submit
- Look at the Effort Gauge
Expected results: The gauge considers resource availability coherently
Actual results: It displays Days 5.00/2.50 > The units entered are calculated based on the Standard calendar (5) and availability shows the Resource Calendar availability (2.5)
- Go to the Timesheets tab and locate the timesheet we just submitted and open the Details tab
- The Total displays double the days entered
Expected results: The total displays 5 days entered
Actual results: The Total figure shows 10 days and the time entry 5 days
