Issue/Introduction

This document addresses an observed behavior where the "Last Successful Poll" time does not update within the locator search list views.

Cause

The locator search results are designed to generate a static list of devices. This intentional design choice accommodates the inclusion of a significantly larger number of devices compared to the dynamic lists populated in the Explorer tab. Implementing an automatic refresh mechanism for expansive lists, such as "All Devices," would be resource-intensive. In large-scale environments, polling all devices at frequent intervals (e.g., every 5 minutes) to retrieve updated metrics could impose substantial resource demands and potentially degrade system performance.

Resolution

To access dynamically updated metrics, including the "Last Successful Poll" time, users are advised to utilize the list view within the Explorer View of OneClick. This view provides real-time updates, offering a more suitable alternative to the static locator search list views for monitoring current device status.  If the list results do not contain too many items, the times displayed can be updated by using the refresh button on the top right of the locator search list results.
