Issue/Introduction

  • "Automation app health is affected" alert is trigger on the Automation App object type.
  • The active symptom for this alert is the Event Message symptom: Automation Configuration Event
  • Port forwarding for port 8008 is not configured on the Load Balancer in front of Aria Automation

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18

Aria Automation 8.18

Resolution

Create a port forwarding application profile on NSX:

  1. Create a new application profile
  2. Add the existing Service monitor details (if available or create a new one with the following values)
  3. Create a new pool for Aria Automation monitoring with the Automation nodes as members, with the port as 8008 and also the monitoring port as 8008 with the same (443) Service monitor details.
  4. In the Virtual Server, create a new virtual server with the same load balancer IP address and choose the HTTP protocol and port number as 8008 with the newly created pool.
  5. Now the LB status should be up for the newly added pool.
