After deploying a SRM server, when accessing the SRM web interface for the first time, text does not appear if the language is set to Korean as shown below:
When the browser's default language is set to Korean, on accessing the SRM web interface page in English, it is normal but when the language is changed to Korean, the page shows blank.
Site Recovery Manager 9.0.2
On checking the Korean language configuration file on the SRM server, we will find unwanted lines in the file.
We can verify the same by navigating to the below path:
[ /opt/vmware/drconfigui/webapps/configure/app/landing/i18n ]# ls -ltotal 92-rw-rw---- 1 tomcat tomcat 8456 Mar 11 03:59 de.js-rw-rw---- 1 tomcat tomcat 7582 Mar 11 03:59 en.js-rw-rw---- 1 tomcat tomcat 8774 Mar 11 03:59 es.js-rw-rw---- 1 tomcat tomcat 8774 Mar 11 03:59 fr.js-rw-rw---- 1 tomcat tomcat 8538 Mar 11 03:59 it.js-rw-rw---- 1 tomcat tomcat 9252 Mar 11 03:59 ja.js-rw-rw---- 1 tomcat tomcat 8154 Mar 14 06:44 ko.js-rw-rw---- 1 tomcat tomcat 7294 Mar 11 03:59 zh-CN.js-rw-rw---- 1 tomcat tomcat 7412 Mar 11 03:59 zh-TW.js
The ko.js configuration file shows unwanted lines 9 and 10 as shown below:
However, the correct configuration file should show up as below:
This issue is fixed in the SRM version 9.0.2.1 (VMware Live Site Recovery 9.0.2.1 Release Notes).
As a workaround, we need to delete the 2 lines and then check the SRM web interface page again and the issue should be resolved, and we should be able to see the text as below:
