Cause

Accessing the device while Fan Failure is detected

Resolution

  1. Update the driver to a version greater or equal to the following versions:
    ESXi 7.0 : Version 3.70.7.0
    ESXi 8.0 : Version 3.71.7.0
  2. Consult with your hardware vendor to determine if a firmware update is also needed for the network card.
  3. Consult with your hardware vendor to determine cause of the Temperature Warning.
