Error: "validation error on field 'email': The email address may contain invalid characters or be missing an @'" when trying to edit a SAML user in VMware Cloud Director

Issue/Introduction

• You are unable to edit the SAML user that is already imported in VMware Cloud Director.
• You are unable to disable the SAML user. When you try to disable the user you get an error:
  [ #######-####-####-####-############ ] validation error on field 'email': The email address may contain invalid characters or be missing an @

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6.x

Cause

• During import of the SAML user, the email address field was updated without a special character '@'. All the mentioned fields for the SAML user should be filled accurately to avoid this issue. 
• The Edit / Delete user action workflow runs a validation script which would flag this as a blocker. 

Resolution

• The code fix to mitigate the user detail pre validation is included in VCD 10.6.1.1 and later releases.
