Upgrade Plan:
For identity manager and provisioning components
Step 1: Shut down the environment to a complete halt. At this point, no new information should be read/written or updated in the environment.
Step 2: Review the "Before You upgrade" section under
Step 3: Review upgrade prerequisite information
Step 4: Review the upgrade worksheet: to record the relevant information for each component of your deployment.
Step 5: In-place upgrade of PS and provisioning components.
Step 6: v7.2 of the JBoss application server is not supported with IGA 14.5.
Upgrade/migrate the JBoss application server from v7.2 to v7.4 using the migration tool.
Step 7: in-place upgrade of Identity Manager
Step 8: Post upgrade validations
Review the below documentation to carry out post-upgrade validations
Step 9: Verify your upgraded environment
Step 10: Upgrade 14.5 GA to SP1, then to CHF1 and finally, any relevant hotfixes
Step 11: Perform validations.
Please note that
- The plan presented above is a high-level approach and it must be adapted to your environment.
- Please backup your existing Identity environment along with a full database backup.
- Steps 10 & 11 may be a part of the same upgrade window or maybe a part of a separate upgrade schedule at a later date.
