Issue/Introduction

The upgrade of an Aria Orchestrator 8.11.1 cluster to 8.18.1 is failing due to not all containers of the vco-app pods being in a running state, with a status of 2/3.

When running the command kubectl get pods -n prelude, we can observe multiple restarts of the vco-app pods.

Environment

Aria Orchestrator 8.11.1

Cause

This can be related to an authentication/configuration issue of the environment, which can be resolved via the control center.

We need to confirm that the correct vCenter is defined for authentication.

Resolution

Login to the https://<vro-fqdn>/vco-controlcenter of the environment as the root user.

Then follow Validating VMware Aria Automation and Automation Orchestrator 8.x health, specifically VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator and confirm that the correct vCenter is configured for authentication.
