Issue/Introduction

This error may appear in the Ruby vSphere console after a failed upgrade on a host:

ManagedObjectNotFound: The object 'vim.HostSystem:example-host' has already been deleted or has not been completely created

Environment

VMware vCenter 7
VMware ESXi 7

Cause

• The Witness Appliance was not correctly added to the cluster
• Witness Appliance was removed from vCenter inventory and then re-added which changes the MOID.
