** ERROR BELOW ** NOT UPDATEABLE

trying to update datadictionary attributes such as MEDIA-ACCESS

Environment

z/OS CA Datacom

Cause

External security for Datadictionary has been implemented in the Multi-User . 

DDUPDATE is being run by a user who has been defined as Datadictionary Administrator in external security.

 

Resolution

Updating Datadictionary database (DATA-DICT) tables attributes require the user not only to have datadictionary administrator rights but also security administrator rights.
Given that you are running your Datadictionary externally secured your userid would need to have the DTADMIN resource class defined for it.
